Digital Design and Robotic Fabrication Education Matters for the EU Built Environment

We are pleased to announce the launch of DIGI MATTERS, a three-year Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership focused on digital design, robotic fabrication and sustainable construction education across Europe.

Led by Prof Ornella Iuorio at Politecnico di Milano, the project brings together partners from Italy, Portugal, Germany, Spain, Türkiye and France. DIGI MATTERS will co-create open-access learning resources and three MOOC phases covering computational design, AI-assisted optimisation, robotic fabrication and circular construction workflows.

The project will also deliver three cross-European digital fabrication workshops, connect students and professionals with industry through “Meet the Makers” sessions, and publish an open-access book. Together, these activities will help develop the digital and green skills needed for the future European built environment.
