Architect
Danelly Gutierrez is a PhD candidate at the University of Leeds, where her research focuses on the development of a multi-criteria decision-making model for building decarbonisation grounded in Circular Economy principles. She works across the Cities, Infrastructure and Energy, Project Management, and Materials groups within the School of Civil Engineering. Her doctoral studies are supported by a scholarship from the National Council for Humanities Science and Technology.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the Ibero-American University and completed further studies in Project Management at the National Autonomous University of Mexico in 2020. She presented her work at the Leeds Centre for Projects conference in 2024.
Prior to commencing her doctoral research, she worked in the construction industry on the refurbishment of residential and commercial properties. Her responsibilities spanned multiple stages of project delivery, including on-site management, enabling her to develop practical expertise in construction processes and project management.
